Janet MacDonald is currently serving as a Peer Support Specialist for Veterans Services of the Carolinas in their Transitions to Community Living program. Janet Received her BA in International Studies and German Studies from Guilford College, and her BBA in Marketing from Middle Tennessee State University. She plans to pursue her Master’s in Social Work in 2024. In long-term recovery herself, Janet previously worked in mental health and addiction treatment. Both of Janet’s parents are Veteran Army officers and their commitment to serving others instilled in her the belief that “to whom much is given, much is expected.” She hopes to give back by aiding her peers in their pursuit to lead healthy, happy lives and is grateful to Veterans Services of the Carolinas for affording her the opportunity to impact her community.
