Eric Watts

Assistance Director of Civilian Employment

Eric Watts currently serves as the Assistant Director of Civilian Employment as the head of the STEP program for Veterans Services of the Carolinas. He previously served several years as an HVRP Case Manager assisting residents of ABCCM’s Veterans Restoration Quarters in Asheville, NC and other Veterans in Western North Carolina. Eric is a graduate of Gateway Technical College with an Associate of Applied Sciences in Information Technology, with a focus in Software and Hardware Support. Eric is a member of the Mountain Area Workforce Development Board and is also a Nationally Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Eric is an Army Veteran, and worked as a civilian employee for more than 16 years, as the Data Analyst and Safety Officer for the United States Navy Exchange Service Command at Great Lakes Illinois. Eric’s military background along with his many years of service in the civilian sector of the military, drives his passion to assist and give back to our Veteran community and their families, who have sacrificed so much for their country.
